But her mystical landscapes and the essence of the industrial machine captured in her most recent paintings reflect a strong appreciation for masters like Roberto Matta, Umberto Boccioni, Giacomo Balla, Carlo Carra, and Wassily Kandinski in particular.
Candace possesses a depth of artistic skill that defies definition. She’s a skilled illustrator and realist with a large portfolio of different styles, media, and creative visions. As a working artist, art instructor, and private tutor for nearly 40 years, her influence is only starting to be recognized.
Her early work as a Western Realist provide her with a strong grounding in the technical skills she employs in her current pursuits. Most recently Candace has completed a series of paintings of Seattle skylines. Evident throughout this work is her extraordinary talent and vision of the world around her.
During the warmer months, Candace regularly exhibits her work at the Seattle Pioneer Square artwalk, in Occidental Park. So if it’s not raining stop by and say hello. Or if you want to contact her directly, you can email her at outofourminds@hotmail.com.
